Julie Desk, the Artificial Intelligence powered virtual assistant has raised an additional €2.5 million in funding as it looks to improve the quality of its service and execute its global expansion plans.

The French company, which launched in 2015, received the latest funding from SIDE Capital, Entrepreneur Ventures and SAAS Lab, the same firm which invested  €600k into the firm last March (2016).

In a statement today (June 1), Julie Desk, who has more than 300 clients,  said the funds will enable the company to continue to invest in AI with the goal of doubling the performance and the quality of its algorithms in the next 12 months.

It added, the objective is to “intensify the integration” within medium-sized companies and major groups, while continuing to deliver a “flawless service”.

Julien Hobeika, co-founder of Julie Desk said: “We have selected these funds for their entrepreneurial spirit and their deep understanding of our business challenges. They are our first ambassadors, having adopted Julie in their day-to-day work. Far more than money, they will offer a true expertise that will allow the company to accelerate and develop at a rapid pace”.
