Apple is expected to revamp Siri with contextual learning capabilities and deep integration with iMesage and iCloud.

According to Israeli site The Verifier, Apple’s virtual assistant is set to become a lot smarter. Siri will get a boost in its level of artificial intelligence, sources from the development team based in Israel told the site. The report said that the assistant will be able to carry out current voice commands and will be able to learn a user’s usage habits over time. It will reportedly offer different action options based on the context of content similar to Samsung’s Bixby.

Siri is rumoured to become an “integral part” of iMessage with the forthcoming iOS update. For example, Siri would be able to give restaurant recommendations, make a reservation or book an Uber “directly from the screen messages in an intuitive way”.

Apple’s assistant will also be integrated into the iCloud meaning it can identify connections across multiple devices under an Apple ID account and “continue to offer relevant actions and steps” from all gadgets, the report said.

Siri will also be boosted with a wider range of voice commands for the Apple TV and the next watchOS update will see a smarter integration with the assistant.

Apple’s iOS 11 update is expected to be released with the company’s newest iPhone lineup in September.
